I miss mărţişor!
In Romania 1st of March is a beloved holiday. It is the day people start to embrace spring, renaissance of all things, hope for fresh beginnings, the arrival of tiny green buds, soon to be flowers.
On this day people offer each other and wear the mărţişor, which is a small token that brings you good luck, always tied up with a little red and white thread: red symbol of love and white symbol of peace.
