My Friend, the Rainbow

A storm comes closer, inch-by-inch, closer and closer.

This storm is no ordinary storm.

Its clouds threatening like an alley dog; each threatening thunder sends me a

shiver down my valley.

Each thunder beats drums through me, echoing over and over and over.

My enormous body soaked with rain.

Suddenly, relief flies through the air.

A signal of peace cuts the air; my heart leaps.

The war is over.

The path is clear!

I am no longer an unhappy mountain.

My friend the rainbow has come.
